Mawuni Farm extends over 340 acres of fields, woodlands, streams and ponds. We are currently not a working farm so you’ll be able to observe deer, rabbits, porcupines and other wildlife in their natural habitat. During the summer our vegetable garden is part of our food source.
Built around 1900 the eclectic farm house has 5 bedrooms and 3 shared baths. On the first floor you’ll find a cozy living room and a family room, a dining area with an open kitchen and an office space. There are plenty of co-working options with high speed internet access.
The kitchen will always be stocked with simple organic foods and staples, fresh seasonal fruit and local produce. Farm-mates are encouraged to prepare their own breakfast and lunch. Every week we’ll cook and share some dinners together.
2 of the 5 bedrooms are available. The rooms are for single occupancy, rented per month. There is a desk in each one. Overnight visitors are of course welcome. We’ll need some advance notice so we don’t have too many people in the house at the same time.
Farm-mates will be asked to participate in small tasks such as tending to the vegetable garden, composting and recycling. We’ll divide grocery shopping duties between all the residents.
$1,100 a month till October, including utilities, high speed internet and a weekly cleaning of the common areas. Rates go down October 15th.
The cost for food and supplies will be divided between all the farm-mates and pro-rated depending on how many days a month each person is staying at Mawuni Farm.
25% of the payment has to be received to guarantee your room.
At Mawuni Farm we welcome ideas and suggestions as long as they are sustainable, feasible, and benefit the guests and the property.
We recommend taking an intentional time every other week to check in with each other. Meetings like these also create an opportunity to communicate as a group around needs, problems or concerns.
